Hugely exciting finish to the TVL regular season slate. Andrew Wright led the Red Devils with a 2nd place finish and Joe Guertin, Robbie Vandresar, Jason Kantor and Konnor Erdige finished 5th through 8th respectively to provide great support. Xander Pelc and Keegan Bauer were two of the clutch performers as they displaced Camden's 5th runner just enough to preserve a 1 point victory. It was a true team effort to offset a 1-3-4 finish by Camden. VVS is now in a strong position to capture a 3rd consecutive league title, but it will come down to another clutch performance at the TVL Championship at VVS on October 19th. Congratulations Red Devils.

VVS successfully defended the TVL Pioneer Division Crown with the second clutch team race in 10 days vs. Pioneer Division competitor Camden. Both teams finished with an identical mean 5K of 19:03.6, but thanks to the team depth that has defined the season, VVS came out on top. Andrew Wright led the way with a 6th place finish followed closely behind by 12th and 13th place finishers, Joe Guertin and Matt Palmer. Our 4-9 runners all finished in front of Camden's 5th runner to help nullify a 3 point deficit through each team's top 4. It was an outstanding Championship performance by a young team that will return all but 1 of its current roster in 2019. Congratulations on the league 3-peat Red Devil XC!
VVS Boys finished 6th out of 19 complete teams at the sectional championship (23 teams represented overall). Predicted to be 7th place (1 point ahead of 8th), VVS put a huge gap between themselves and #7 to overachieve a bit and end their season on a solid note. All runners in the top 7 out performed their pre-section ranks and Andrew led the way with a 19th place finish.
NOTE: Times were very, very slow due to terrible course conditions.
